This is NOT justice.

Since the verdict, I've had more time to think about this.  I'm ok with Roy Oliver losing his peace officer's license and being fired, never allowed to be a cop again.  I'm even OK with Manslaughter..I think.  Actually, I'm more in line with no charges at all. 

But, no matter what you think, you SURE AS HECK know it ain't MURDER.

What you HAVEN'T heard, because the Defense has been SHUT OUT by the media, is that according to them, cops were told NOT TO TESTIFY, or there would be CONSEQUENCES.  Also, that many teens at the party SAW the gunshots/heard them, and had 53 seconds to tell the cops where they came from and what they saw before Roy Oliver fired those 5 shots.  They said nothing.  I wonder how they feel, knowing they could have helped prevent this.

This will be appealed.  They will win on appeal, or at least these charges will be peeled back to manslaughter and/or there will be a new trial after a successful appeal, whereupon Oliver, at most, will get Manslaughter and much less prison time. 

This whole thing has been rigged against Oliver.  DA Faith Johnson better not get your vote, as she says this is for all the young black men killed by cops.  No, it's not.  This is not the same thing.  I am viscerally disgusted by this.
