Herd Immunity and Dak

Was it OK for Dak to have a party with 30 guests, as reported in TMZ?  Of course not.

So then why is it OK for your neighbors to have a dozen or more people over, or for that matter, 30, like Dak's accused of?

It's not.  And that's why it's ok and good to report folks having larger gatherings.  A Fort Worth listener said he saw a dozen cars at a neighbor's house and reminded him of the ordinance, to which he responded "We're filming a movie".  This was the second time the listener/caller said its' happened.  He says he talked to a cop, who says there's nothing they can do.

BS.  I told him to call the cops and the Mayor's office and County Health Dept if the cops don't respond.  All they need to do is gently tell the guy to send everyone home, and that if he refuses, there will be a problem.  That's all.

Either we're in this together or we're not.  I agree with our President, who said today that if we pull back too soon, this will spike up all over again.  Let's finish this crap, so we can start getting back to work soon.

HERD IMMUNITY????  NO WAY!!

WHY do I say this?  Because herd immunity takes 70-90% of a population to get the virus.  That would be 4.9M people in DFW alone.  What would that do to our area?  Well..we currently have 500k with Covid-19 in the ENTIRE USA.  That's left 20k dead.  How do you think that'd work out in DFW with 15 times more cases???

The Numbers:

Collin County - 472 positive - 10 dead - 254 recovered

Dallas County - 1,788 positive - 32 dead - 2 recovered

Denton County  - 507 positive - 13 dead - 182 recovered

Tarrant County  - 876 positive - 25 dead - 103 recovered

TOTAL - 3,643 positive - 80 dead - 541 recovered

Percent Increase  - 13,911 % ( 29 days )
